Thinking About Visiting?

If you’re considering visiting Pilgrim Baptist, we're glad you're taking the time to learn about us. We believe it’s important for people to know what to expect before they ever walk through the doors. Our goal is not to impress you, but to be clear—so there are no surprises.

Parents and Children Together

At Pilgrim, children remain with their parents during the service. We believe families grow best when parents lead their children's spiritual instruction by worshiping alongside them.

Mother's Room Available
We provide a Mother's Room located downstairs where parents can attend to young children or nurse infants while still hearing the service. Parents are welcome to use this space and slip in and out of the service as needed.

We do not operate a staffed nursery or offer age-segregated children's programs. Parents retain full responsibility for their children's care during services.

Why Family-Integrated Worship?
This approach may feel different if you're used to age-separated programs. We practice it because we believe discipleship begins in the home and is strengthened through the weekly gathering of God's people.

How the Service Unfolds

While every service is centered on Scripture, the general flow is consistent:

Welcome & church-family updates. A brief time to connect and hear what's happening at Pilgrim.

Opening Prayer: We begin by asking God's blessing on our time in His Word.

Congregational hymn singing. The whole congregation joins in worship, learning and singing the great hymns of the faith.

Expository Bible preaching. Verse-by-verse teaching that explains the text and applies it to life.

Closing hymn: We sing together one final time.

Prayer & Closing Blessing: We pray together and are sent out with God's blessing.

No offering plate passed - We have a giving box in the back for members; However, visitors are our guests.

A Note for First-Time Visitors:
You will not be singled out, asked to participate publicly,
or pressured to make decisions.

Is Pilgrim the Right Fit?

Pilgrim Baptist Church is for those who want to grow through careful teaching of the Bible over time. We're especially suited for families willing to be taught, challenged, and shaped gradually by Scripture.

This may not be the right fit if you're looking for entertainment, shortcuts to maturity, or minimal commitment. Our aim is not to attract everyone, but to be faithful to what we believe God has called us to be.

Your Next Step

If you're visiting for the first time, your next step is simple: just come! Attend a service, enjoy the fellowship, and take time to understand how we teach, what we believe, and how families are discipled here.

Just show up. You'll be warmly greeted and there's no pressure for immediate involvement. We believe clarity and conviction grow over time.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family.
