Dress Code for Choir Members & Special Music

Those who minister in music at Pilgrim Baptist Church represent Christ and His church before the congregation. Modest, appropriate attire helps keep the focus on worship rather than on the individual.

Guidelines

Men and Boys:

• Loose-fitting pants or trousers (no shorts, athletic wear, or overly tight clothing)
• Shirts that fully cover the chest and back
• Clothing that covers the thighs completely

Women and Girls:

• Loose-fitting dresses or skirts (no pants, jeans, or trousers)
• Tops that fully cover the chest and back
• Skirts and dresses that cover the thighs completely

These standards reflect biblical principles of modesty (Isaiah 47:2-3; 1 Timothy 2:9) and help maintain an atmosphere of reverence in corporate worship.
