Family Camp Guidelines

Dear Church Family,

We are excited to welcome you to our 3rd Annual Family Camp! This is a wonderful opportunity for Christian fellowship, spiritual growth, and making lasting memories together. To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and an orderly experience for everyone, we ask that all families observe the following guidelines:

Child Supervision and Safety

Parents will have the joy and responsibility of supervising their children throughout camp, ensuring their safety while building stronger family bonds. Pastor Fortunato and his wife will be fully engaged in teaching and fellowship during this event and will not be able to assume supervisory responsibility for other families' children.

To ensure a safe environment for all, we ask parents to:

  • Ensure children play in groups with adult supervision at all times
  • Know your children's whereabouts throughout the day
  • Never leave children unattended

We all share responsibility for our children's well-being. As Proverbs 31:9 reminds us: "Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy." If you observe any safety concerns, please bring them immediately to a parent or Pastor Fortunato.

Church Service Attendance

Since this is a church family camp, all families should attend all scheduled church services. These times of worship and Bible teaching are central to our purpose in "assembling of ourselves together."

Meal Times

Please observe the following meal times:

Breakfast: 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Lunch: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Supper: 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Meal service is available only during these windows to allow adequate preparation time for our worship services (9:30 AM and 6:30 PM). Please plan accordingly and arrive during the designated meal times.

Cabin Assignments and Responsibility

Each family has been assigned their own cabin for the duration of camp. Please respect these assignments—cabins should not be shared between families. This ensures adequate space and privacy for each family unit.

  • Each family is responsible for bringing their own bedding and toiletries for Family Camp
  • Before departing, each family is responsible for cleaning up any trash in their cabin and leaving it in good condition

Technology and Screen Time

Family Camp is designed as a three-day retreat to focus on fellowship, worship, and quality family time, free from digital distractions. This is an opportunity to be fully present with one another and with the Lord.

For Adults (18 and older):

We ask adults to teach by example by limiting cell phone use during Family Camp. When phone use is necessary, please avoid sharing your screen with children outside your immediate family, respecting other families' preferences regarding their children's media exposure.

For Children:

Children should enjoy face-to-face interaction rather than screen time during camp. Please help your children embrace this opportunity to unplug and engage fully with other families.

We understand that some cell phone use may be necessary for emergencies or important matters, but we encourage everyone to make the most of this time away.

Evening Curfew

To ensure everyone is well-rested and able to fully participate in each day's activities, we have established a 10:00 PM curfew. All children must be in their assigned family cabin by this time each evening.

Morning Quiet Hours: Children should remain in their cabins until 7:00 AM to allow adequate rest for all families.

Dress Code

We maintain modest dress standards based on biblical principles (Isaiah 47:2-3; 1 Timothy 2:9). This allows all families to honor God, respect one another, and focus on spiritual matters without distraction.

Men and Boys:

  • Loose-fitting pants or trousers (no dresses or skirts)
  • Shirts that fully cover the chest and back
  • Shorts, if worn, should cover the thighs completely

Women and Girls:

  • Loose-fitting dresses or skirts (no pants, jeans, or trousers)
  • Tops that fully cover the chest and back
  • Skirts and dresses that cover the thighs completely

We appreciate your cooperation in following these guidelines to create an environment where all families can focus on worship, fellowship, and growing closer to the Lord.

If you have questions about these guidelines, please don't hesitate to reach out before camp begins.

We look forward to a blessed time together!

In His Grip,

Bro Jimmy
